New Connector Brings Experience and a Passion for the First State to Talent-Connect

We are thrilled to announce that Liz Allman has joined the Talent-Connect team as a "Connector." Liz brings with her over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, as well as client relations. She has a long history with the State and is a University of Delaware graduate.

Liz’s first job in Wilmington while attending the University of Delaware was at the Hotel du Pont. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, Liz was offered a full-time position at “the Hotel” beginning a life long career in hospitality.

“I’ve always enjoyed helping guests and, later in my career, clients, to have the best possible experience, it is immediate gratification for me. I love that the hospitality industry brings together a diverse set of people in the work environment, all working towards a common goal. I’ve enjoyed enriching relationships with colleagues from all over the world, different cultures and social backgrounds.

Liz worked for Sodexo, a global services company for 21 years as VP of Client Relations. Her role involved traveling all over the U.S. to interview Sodexo clients and gain their perspective on the relationship between the client company and Sodexo.

“I was tasked to gain an understanding of not only how to improve our services, but to understand where the client’s business was headed strategically so that we could align our future offers better to meet the trends.”

More recently, Liz worked with the Buccini-Pollin Group as Corporate Sales & Marketing Manager at their corporate furnished housing property, LuxiaSuites.

“I was happy to come back to work in Delaware and make a contribution in a small way to the Wilmington renaissance and to get involved in the local community again. BPG was and still is at the forefront of the revitalization.”

After several years, Liz decided to semi-retire and shortly after that, had a conversation with Talent-Connect founder, Kevin Cameron. She fell in love with the company's mission, and her former career lends itself directly to the work of Talent-Connect.

"I am very exited to join Talent-Connect as I see it as the perfect opportunity to combine my experience and passions for understanding and meeting the needs of people. I especially enjoy helping people understand the significant resources, rich history and social attractions that our area offers."

We are thrilled to have her on the Talent-Connect team!
